Shoeless Joe Jackson

Given the World Series is underway we stopped by the Shoeless Joe Jackson Plaza to take a couple of photos. The plaza is at the intersection of South Main Street and Augusta Street in downtown Greenville. It is in Historic West End just outside of a great restaurant called Smoke on the River.

Joe Jackson is a Greenville native and is famous for his baseball accomplishments and infamous for being banned from baseball in the "Black Sox scandal". See the following web pages for more details.
